Product Details:

Making its way into the stability running shoe category is the PUMA ForeverRun Nitro, an all-new daily trainer that looks to become a reliable workhorse for runners who need extra support as they log their miles. Rather than using a traditional medial post for stability, the Forever Run utilizes PUMA's innovative Runguide system, which is designed to provide a stable experience without being intrusive. Starting in the midsole, the ForeverRun Nitro is equipped with two layers of supercritical Nitro foam—the bottom layer provides the ideal amount of firmness that helps with stability while the top layer sits nicely underfoot and pairs nicely with the snug wrap and arch support of the insole to provide the comfort you need out on the run. Additionally, there is a firm density rim as part of the midsole that cradles the foot and promotes proper alignment with every stride.

The outsole is comprised of PUMA's ultra-reliable and highly popular PUMAGRIP for ultimate traction. The outsole also has a unique "bump out" near the big toe to help with any late stage pronating. The upper also contains several key elements of the Runguide system. The heel of the ForeverRun Nitro contains a TPU clip to support the heel while PWRTAPE is strategically placed around the engineered mesh to provide a sleek yet supportive fit. From top to bottom, the ForeverRun Nitro was built to deliver a smooth a stable ride that almost any runner could enjoy.

Enjoying the shoeI've really enjoyed adding this shoe to the mix. It is a great stable (but not overly rigid) shoe to shuffle into my rotation. This is my second pair and I'm sure I'll be coming back for a 3rd.

Great shoe for run rotationI have very flat feet so I got these to alternate between my Asics Novablast 4 (I put a powerstep insole in the Novablast for runs). The Puma ForeverRuns I use for my base pace runs (around 9-10 min pace). They keep up well and I could definitely go faster in them too. The upper and the sole are comfortable, the only thing I found is that it's kind of big around the back part of my foot by my ankle, but if I lace them correctly it's not a big issue. Something to keep in mind would be if you want extra padding around the back of your foot/ankle or not. These don't have a ton, so I would definitely think about that before purchasing. For me I don't mind as I do wear running socks too. The grip on these shoes are MILES better than some of my other shoes. I've ran over gravel bits and in the rain and still feel in control. The wider base of the shoe does help with stability as well. I love these for days where I know I'm going to be doing a lot of walking as well. They keep my feet happy!

Hot Slappy BrickNot for me for sure. Upper is super hot. Midsole is really firm even after 25 miles. I run in tons of shoes/brands. Love some of the other Puma offerings but this one might be the worst shoe I've bought in the past 2 years.

great support and great reboundI've been trying a lot of shoes recently, to address my left foot that supinates and then pronates as I try and get the first big toe down and stop 'the lean' (and resulting hip pain for over 15 years; I have over 40 years of daily running and am 64 years old...). I loved my first run in the Brooks Ghost 16 a few weeks ago, but then the love affair was off after that first run because of the funky left foot (it's me, not the shoe). Next came the Nike Infinity Run 4, which worked but it was uninspiring. Now has come this shoe, which, after two six mile runs, I feel is going to be my "go-to" shoe. The first run in the Puma ForeverRun felt like it was confining my left forefoot a bit (in a good way--big toe making contact) and the second run felt "normal." From the explanations I have read online, which seem to conform to what I'm feeling, in the shoe there's a sort of moldable, deep, "insole" that supports and adapts to the foot, while the outer part of the shoe stays supportive for both lateral and medial landings. To me it sounds like a sort of soft, *adaptable*, orthotic built into the shoe. (My other foot is normal, so no need for anything there.) The shoe works VERY well for both my feet. The right foot feels nothing and the left foot feels like it rolls like it should. Really comfortable run. And the midsole is, in comparison to other recent shoes I've run in (Brooks, Adidas, Nike, NB...), the most responsive of all I've tried. My two runs have been about 30-45 seconds per mile faster than usual, with the same effort. Fantastic rebound and great balance and push-off in these shoes. In sum, these are terrific training shoes. I highly recommend them for those of you who also have a "funky foot" and either supination or pronation (or both) issues. You'll be happy in them. Great price, great value; they get the job done well and they are fast. The designers should get an award.

Support that is "there for me"This shoe is light, bouncy, yet still very stable. Dealing with nagging foot issues likely due to neutral lightweight shoes, the ForeverRun Nitro is a welcome relief. While others would leave me on my own shuffling in the dust, these provide the needed support once the muscle start to tire. I've already bought a 2nd pair for when the 1st wear out.

Not enough supportVery nice shoe but not enough medial support for an over pronator.

First time running in PumaI train for half marathons and mainly run on roads. My go to brand was not performing. I think they changed their material and was looking for a new shoe. I am very happy with the Puma Forever Run. The wide bottom helps with my stability and has a soft landing. The size is true to fit. I would recommend trying this shoe.
