All Women's Road Shoes

  • Daily TrainersDaily Trainers

The baseline definition of a running shoe. Daily Trainers lean on time-proven designs, technologies and features for dependable cushioning, support and comfort. They're a staple in every runner's closet, and if you are new to running shoes, then you should start your journey here.

  • Performance TrainersPerformance Trainers

Performance Trainers provide a springy feel and make longer runs easier and faster runs faster. While quicker than Daily Trainers, Performance Trainers are not nearly as fast as Super Shoes. Due to a focus on keeping things light weight, Performance Trainers are less durable than Daily Trainers. These can also be a good option for one's first race shoe.

  • Super ShoesSuper Shoes

Super Shoes are the fastest running shoes you can buy. They are designed to race your absolute best and represent the pinnacle of running shoe technology and innovation. They have the highest energy return foams and plates for new levels of performance. Low durability, but maximum speed is the name of the game here.

Men's Running Shoes by Surface

  • Roads & PavementRoads & Pavement

Road running shoes feature smooth outsoles that are designed for running on paved surfaces such as roads, sidewalks, and bike paths.

  • Smooth Trails & FireroadsSmooth Trails & Fireroads

Designed to handle most trail runs, these shoes prioritize comfort and a smooth ride. These shoes are great for anything from smooth singletrack, park trails, and fireroads making them ideal for those who run from their doorstep on streets before hitting the trail.

  • Rocky & Technical TrailsRocky & Technical Trails

These shoes are best used for hard, rugged trails such as shale, granite or sandstone where grip on smooth surfaces and underfoot protection are important.

  • Soft & Muddy TrailsSoft & Muddy Trails

Designed for use in muddy, soggy conditions, these shoes feature very aggressive outsoles that dig deep into soft ground for exceptional traction.

  • Snowy & Icy TrailsSnowy & Icy Trails

These shoes feature technical outsoles designed to grip snowy and icy trails making them ideal for winter trail running.

Cushioning Level

  • Cushioning level, or stack height, refers to how much shoe is between your foot and the ground. For this category, we reference the amount of cushioning below the forefoot as the heel height will be equal to or greater than the forefoot height.
Learn more about stack heights and how we measure them.

  • Barefoot

0-13mm. The Shoe generally does not have a midsole and feels like there is no cushioning. This shoe is all about feeling the ground underfoot.

  • Minimal

14-18mm. The shoe has a thin midsole that allows for a natural running experience. Racing shoes and minimalist shoes are common here. These shoes offer a feeling of being connected to the road or trail.

  • Low

19-23mm. The shoe has a slightly cushioned feel and may feature added cushioning technologies. Performance training shoes and some trail shoes are common here. These offer protection during footstrike but prioritize a lightweight, grounded experience.

  • Medium

24-28mm. These shoes have a stack height that fall near the middle of the spectrum. The shoes in this category are verstaile and great for all types of runs and distances.

  • High

29-34mm. The shoe has a thick midsole and ample cushioning. These shoes are highly protective and absorb more impact than the body.

  • Maximal

35mm plus. The shoe has an extremely thick midsole and extra cushioning. The focus is on protection and soft foam underfoot with hardly any ground feel.

Stability Level

  • Neutral

Neutral shoes support the foot through a normal range of arch collapse and generally do not have a built-in technology to correct movement.

  • Stable

Stability shoes are a great option for those who overpronate or need added support. These shoes help to limit the inward rolling motion of the ankle while running or walking and assist in guiding the foot straight through the gait cycle.

Product Details:

For those who want a 5K to 10K racing option that offers a close to the ground feel while still providing the benefits of resilient cushioning, take a look at the Sinister. Runners will experience a lightweight and energetic ride from start to finish thanks to the PWRRUN PB foam midsole. But don't let the shoe's lower profile fool you, the midsole has enough protection to keep your feet energized and comfortable the whole race.

Covering the outsole is a thin layer of rubber with a chevron grip design that offers excellent traction without adding unnecessary weight. To continue this weight savings, the spike-like upper features a thin layer of ripstop mesh that is incredibly lightweight and breathable. A secure fit is ensured by the midfoot lacing system and fully integrated, soft stretch knit tongue, and the upper is rounded out with comfortable heel design that consists of a velvety soft suede-like material with a thin plastic piece for structure. Overall, the Saucony Sinister is a fantastic option for competitors looking for a plate-less, super responsive racing flat that feels weightless on foot yet makes a big impact on race day.

How We Measure Our Shoe Specs

  • We measure every shoe in-house to provide accurate and consistent details.

  • Weight

The weight is based on a Men's size 9 for Men's and Unisex shoes or Women's size 8 for Women's shoes. The weight listed is for a single shoe, including the laces.

  • Heel Stack

The heel stack refers to how high your heel sits above the ground when wearing shoes. Based on Men's size 9 as the standard.

  • Forefoot Stack

Forefoot stack refers to how high the ball of the foot sits above the ground when wearing shoes. Based on Men's size 9 as the standard.

  • Heel-toe Offset

Heel-toe offset (drop) is the difference in height between the heel stack and the forefoot stack. We use the number given to us by the brand.

How We Measure Shoe Fit

  • All measurements are based on Medium width.

  • Fit (width) options are Narrow - Snug - Average - Roomy - Wide.

  • Sizing (length) options are Short - True - Long. Note: fit is relative to the "average" running shoe.

  • We partner with SmartLast, a program by Heeluxe, to use advanced shoe-measuring technology, to provide objective measurements for toe box, midfoot, and heel widths as well as overall length.

Versatile with modern foam and lower stackThanks to Saucony for making this, and fingers crossed they will make more or a successor. Modern critical foam for protection and energy return with low enough stack for no plate and natural feel. Sublime.

What a great shoe!!!The Saucony Sinister is a great running shoe! I use this shoe for daily training, track workouts, cross-country, long runs and have raced a half-marathon in them. Please recognize this shoe is not for everyone. It does not have a plate. It does not have a guidance system or any other technological devices. It does not have a lot of cushioning, however, its simplicity makes it in my mind one of the best shoes that have come out in a long time. Too many shoe manufacturers copy each other trends and the latest trend of maximal cushioning creates stilts for you to twist or turn an ankle. This shoe is very flexible. You generate the toe off. The heel collar is soft, which is a blessing for those with achilles issues. It has just the right amount of cushion to protect and provide you feedback for the surface you are running on.

Fast! They are a very light and fast shoe. I only use them for intervals and 5k training. They do wear out a bit quick but I’m 170. Overall I love the low profile of this shoe and it’s a great feeling when pushing the shorter distance paces.

great fit super light wears down quicklyI love how light and fast these feel, my first run was 2x20min at about 7:15 pace and the bottoms look like I ran over 100 miles in them, compared to my ride 16s ( which I put about 275 miles on, I weigh 180). Not happy with that, probably a great shoe to race in but won't last for rotating into my typical training.

make more Saucony!!a true super-flat, it's the best of both worlds where you get the bounce of pebax but the old-school light and flexible feel. These are practically sold out everywhere, please don't stop making these Saucony!!

Great 5k racing flatThis is a lightweight racing flat with great energy return from the foam and the non-carbon plate. I would use this for race distances from 1 mile to 10k, but I think it's sweet spot is the 5k. Comfortable fit, true to size or slightly longer (might need to half size down, but I was ok sticking with my usual size from other racing shoes and trainers).

Flying under the radar (and ahead of others!)My only regret about buying the Sinister is that I waited so long to do it. I waited because I wear a size 13 in the Endorphin Speed/Pro 3 (and my Tempus is a 13 and is fine, though a 12.5 probably would have been fine too, but I did try the Speed in a 12.5 and 13 was definitely the better choice) and the Sinister only goes up to 12.5. The 12.5 fits perfectly though! I had heard that despite the relatively soft PB foam, the Sinister does not bottom out like some others (Streakfly, Liberate). Even at 6'3" and in the 160's (lbs), I can confirm. It's quite remarkable how supportive and comfortable the relatively low stack of PB foam in this shoe is. I'm also very sensitive to lack of lateral stability in shoes and have had no issues with that here. The underfoot feel is so much more comfortable than the Hyperion Tempo it replaced (and I love that shoe), while still doing a great job of supporting faster running with a less heavy heel strike than I normally do and running with a higher cadence. The bounciness of the foam combined with the extreme lightness of the shoe allow for a short ground contact time if you focus on it. The shoes also feel particularly good on both uphill and downhill sections, which is remarkable. They are marketed as a 5k-10k shoe (or even just 5k for some), but I feel like I could take them much farther, which I couldn't say about the HT's. The longest I've done so far is a 10k, but I did not feel them lacking in any way for that race. I feel like a shoe this light, stable, supportive, bouncy, comfortable, fun, and fast shouldn't be physically possible. I've already PR'd in the 5k and 10k in them (road races), and hope to have some luck on the track in them soon. I can't say enough good things about this shoe. If you haven't tried it, you don't know what you're missing. It may fly under the radar in Saucony's lineup, but it'll have you flying down the road (or track).
