Cushioning Level

Barefoot
0-13mm. The Shoe generally does not have a midsole and feels like there is no cushioning. This shoe is all about feeling the ground underfoot.
-
Minimal

-
Low
19-23mm. The shoe has a slightly cushioned feel and may feature added cushioning technologies. Performance training shoes and some trail shoes are common here. These offer protection during footstrike but prioritize a lightweight, grounded experience.

-
High
29-34mm. The shoe has a thick midsole and ample cushioning. These shoes are highly protective and absorb more impact than the body.
-
Maximal

Stability Level
-
Neutral Running Shoes
Neutral shoes support the foot through a normal range of arch collapse and generally do not have built-in technology to correct movement.
-
Stability Running Shoes
Stability shoes are a great option for those who overpronate or need added support. These shoes help to limit the inward rolling motion of the ankle while running or walking and assist in guiding the foot straight through the gait cycle.
Product Details:
The game-changing RX:FPY is Speedland's debut road shoe, inspired by elite runner Don Reichelt. For the midsole, Speedland proudly debuts their use of uncompressed HTPU superfoam for the carrier layer. Together with the drop-in core layer of supercritical foam, you'll experience the best of all worlds: elite and enduring responsiveness with plusher comfort closer to your soles.
For the showstopper, you can remove the included carbon fiber plate as often and easily as you like. Simply pull out the drop-in top layer of foam, easily snap the plate in or out, and slide the drop-in layer back in. With this visionary design, now you can change your super shoe from aggressive racer to softer trainer and back again.
Not to be outdone, the airy spacer mesh upper is upgraded with a multi-directional Li2 dial. This BOA Fit System dial enables quick micro-adjustments tighter and looser. This means you can literally dial in the PerformFit Wrap to your "just right" setting for secure comfort. Last but not least, the scratch rubber outsole lets you grip and rip long miles at hot paces.

Technologies
MIDSOLE
- Uncompressed HTPU superfoam is supercritical aliphatic TPU that isn't compression-molded, but is simply cut and smoothed into shape as the carrier base layer. With roughly 15% more energy return than their other premium foam, it delivers Speedland's highest responsiveness ever.
- Proprietary drop-in core foam is a supercritical blend of OBC, EVA, and nylon compounds for a slightly plusher but still responsive underfoot experience. This thick layer (15 mm heel / 10 mm forefoot) is removable to insert or remove the included carbon fiber plate. This shoe isn't compatible with custom or third-party orthotics, insoles, or inserts.
- Carbon fiber plate (included) is full-length and removable. Inserting this 0.8 oz plate brings the shoe to 9.5 oz. For max propulsion, this road-specific plate is different and much stiffer than Speedland's optional Carbitex plate offered separately for their trail shoes.
OUTSOLE
- Scratch rubber provides generous full-length coverage for confident grip over variable road conditions.
UPPER
- Spacer mesh is light and breathable, with strategically placed high-tenacity fibers for durability.
- PerformFit Wrap combines three supportive overlays to securely wrap all vital areas of your foot.
- BOA Fit System utilizes a multi-directional Li2 dial to engage the PerformFit Wrap. This dial offers micro-adjustability in both directions, allowing you to instantly tighten or loosen the fit as quickly and as often as you like.
