Stability Level

  • Neutral

Neutral shoes support the foot through a normal range of arch collapse and generally do not have a built-in technology to correct movement.

  • Stable

Stability shoes are a great option for those who overpronate or need added support. These shoes help to limit the inward rolling motion of the ankle while running or walking and assist in guiding the foot straight through the gait cycle.

How We Measure Our Shoe Specs

  • We measure every shoe in-house to provide accurate and consistent details.

  • Weight

The weight is based on a Men's size 9 for Men's and Unisex shoes or Women's size 8 for Women's shoes. The weight listed is for a single shoe, including the laces.

  • Heel Stack

The heel stack refers to how high your heel sits above the ground when wearing shoes. Based on Men's size 9 as the standard.

  • Forefoot Stack

Forefoot stack refers to how high the ball of the foot sits above the ground when wearing shoes. Based on Men's size 9 as the standard.

  • Heel-toe Offset

Heel-toe offset (drop) is the difference in height between the heel stack and the forefoot stack. We use the number given to us by the brand.

How We Measure Shoe Fit

  • All measurements are based on Medium width.

  • Fit (width) options are Narrow - Snug - Average - Roomy - Wide.

  • Sizing (length) options are Short - True - Long. Note: fit is relative to the "average" running shoe.

  • We partner with SmartLast, a program by Heeluxe, to use advanced shoe-measuring technology, to provide objective measurements for toe box, midfoot, and heel widths as well as overall length.

Badly designed upperThis could have been such a great shoe, and it probably is for some people, but the upper is poorly designed for runners with skinny feet and ankles. Lots of reviews mention that it can be hard to achieve a good lockdown, and that is definitely the case if you don’t have big ankles/heels. I tried different lacing systems without success and, to top it off, the thin and sharp tongue is too short and digs badly in the front of the ankle. This is especially a problem when running downhill. I even tried to make a cut out in the shoe and it was still a problem. Hopefully, adidas corrects it in the future but, for now, I would think twice about buying this shoe if you have skinny ankles.

Unexpected FindI was looking for a replacement for the discontinued Hoka Tecton X2. This was a pleasant surprise for several reasons. 1. It is lighter than the X2 2. To me, it feels more responsive than the X2 3. Many of the trails in my area are technical and rocky. Because of (1) and (2) I am able keep my knees high to avoid catching a toe and crashing. 4. It feels quick going uphill, as well as downhill. I normally rotate between two different models of trail shoe but in this case have opted for buying two pair of the Agravic Speed and rotating between them.

Shoe ReviewAdidasTerrex Agravic. Light weight, nimble, responsive, in addition to an extremely pleasant feel on the trail whether striding on local fire roads or single track. Simplistic breathable upper fantastic sole and traction, much need on these rainy winter days! I will most certainly be keeping these in my rotation.

Speedy and funI tried these on a whim and I loved them so much I'm already on my second pair. I don't like super cushiony shoes and these are not that, they are super responsive, springy and fast. I have put them through the wringer at this point (300+ miles) and the only thing I would change is the laces, they are a little too long and kind of a pain to tie, but it's a small con and I love everything else about them.

If it works for you it REALLY works!!So surprised on this piece of footwear! It’s light, like Nnormal Kjerag light but with more underfoot. The upper can be for some a deal breaker or at very least a bit cringy since it’s full on plastic, but it does soften up with some break in. The toe box is wide enough to wear toe socks which is amazing. The rocker keeps you cruzing along and the foam is perfect as it’s not too firm but not a hoka mushy feeling either. Very responsive- The light strike pro foam is amazing! Grip is super good, (first time using continental rubber.) I wear a 10.5 in most shoes but these I had to size down to 10. I’m not sure this would be a all day shoe but for shorter distances- marathon length and under its is the magic combo for me.

Really great trail shoesGrippy, fast drying, easy to run fast on technical trails. A little too much rocker. Too stiff/uncomfortable upper material.

Great for up to moderately technical trailsFirstly, size down 1/2. 9.9oz in US12.5M This is a good shoe that rolls well with a soft springy midsole, and with decent lockdown from the breathable upper, and I rate it highly. Not a shoe for rock gardens or steep descents, but very enjoyable otherwise. Next version I'd like to see a reduction to 6mm drop, a heel that is more embedded into the midsole than sitting on top, and a fully-gusseted tongue.

Initial thoughts: disappointing first runI am on the fence with this shoe. I enjoyed the original Speed Ultra which this shoe is more similar to than the new Speed Ultra, it had its flaws (laces that constantly came untied wth adidas) but it was a great shoe in most ways. One thing I enjoyed about it is that while it was meant for faster running it was a great trainer and all around shoe. Not sure this shoe will be that great as an all arounder unfortunately. First the upper: no idea what was wrong with the upper of the original Speed Ultra but they went ahead and made a much worse upper. No heel hold whatsoever, in fact you can't even tell it has a heel unless you are going uphill. It is plasticy, not pliable or conforming, digs into the foot in multiple places and creasing can create hotspots due to the rigid nature of the material, oh and also can make a not so fun noise to listen to as it creases. Also because of the no padding around the ankle and heel it is very inviting of debris to come right in. The midsole feels good, though I wouldn't call it "soft" like adidas does, compared to a Nike shoe it is quite firm. This is not an issue for faster running, it has enough plushness to be comfortable at faster paces but it is a bit harsh at slower paces. Definitely feels better running fast. Which is fine thats whats its designed for but unfortunately to me it makes this shoe somewhat pointless considering the new Speed Ultra is the race version. It also means adidas doesn't currently make a decent trail trainer with a modern midsole and instead is still using basic EVA in their trainers. Outsole is great, slightly deeper lugs and more spaced out so they will shed mud better than the original Speed Ultra. Jury is still out for me but I leaning towards sending them back. I was not too impressed with the lightstrike midsole on the old Speed Ultra as it lost most of its plushness after about 100 miles and in fact ended up cracking completely in half around 300 miles. Being this shoe is entirely lightstrike pro, it feels good now but I am a little worried its not going to last. Aside from that the upper is just not great and overall this shoe is just in an odd spot, not great as a trainer and for a racing shoe there are far better options, if I want lightweight and nimble the NNormal Kjerag would be better, more cushion and bounce Nike Ultrafly would be better. Yes this shoe is in a different price point but it just feels redundant with the Speed Ultra. I keep wanting adidas to hit a home run but for me everybody else is just making better shoes.
