Product Details:

The adidas adizero Evo SL blends the best of both worlds: the lightweight speed of super shoes like the revolutionary adizero Adios Pro Evo 1, with the daily versatility of the adizero SL 2 or Boston 12. Inspired by the fastest-looking and hottest racing shoe, then adjusted for more democratic use, the Evo SL is the ultimate super trainer for runners seeking both speed and durability in their daily runs and workouts.

Featuring a full-length Lightstrike Pro midsole, the same superfoam used in elite racing shoes, this shoe offers a responsive, lightweight ride ideal for faster paces. Like the Adios Pro Evo 1, this cutting-edge foam is non-compression molded, which increases energy return, significantly reduces weight, and provides ample cushioning for longer distances without sacrificing speed.

Unlike its carbon-rodded Adios Pro siblings, the Evo SL opts for a simpler nylon shank in the midfoot for a smooth balance of flexibility and rigidity. Further, the absence of significant midsole cutouts enhances inherent stability. Meanwhile, the outsole is equipped with thin Continental rubber in the front half and clear rubber in the heel, enhancing traction and durability while keeping weight to a minimum.

Complete with a breathable engineered mesh upper and including a more padded and supportive heel and midfoot, this performance trainer delivers excellent lockdown and structure. Whether logging miles or picking up the pace, the adidas adizero Evo SL is engineered to handle it all with comfort and speed.

What You'll Love:

  • Soft, light, full-length Lightstrike Pro midsole
  • Elite aesthetic and speedy performance
  • Versatility for both training and workouts

They can't keep them in stock! This shoe is incredible. Very good fit, not tight, great energy return. I have over 100 miles on my pair and would seriously order another one just to have.

Bounce and cushionI have 26 miles on these shoes, the only complaint is that I wish they gussetted the tongue. Other than that the shoes have held up to my heal striking. They are comfortable and fit well. Plenty of room in the toe box too. I am going to use these for my 1/2 and full Marathons. Would definitely buy these again. For $ 150 you cannot beat the price.

Perfect track trainerI love the midfoot stiffness followed by the flexible toe box, it makes these shoes feel like you're putting in more work than with vaporflys for instance. So they function perfectly as a trainer and still allow you to work on your form more organically. So far they've been surprisingly durable as well.

All around trainerGreat trainer. Tried on the Boston 12 but felt a bit too heavy. Got this out of curiosity and they are great. Light and cushion. I can have done interval workouts on the track and a 20 mile long run. Very versatile

Fast Daily TrainerThis is a really well done daily trainer that could easily be used for races. Feels light and fast like a saucony endorphin speed but with bouncier, more forgiving foam and a more spacious toebox. Gripped solidly on wet sidewalks. I found it a bit voluminous on my med-narrow midfoot and ankle but was able to lace lock and get a good hold. The tongue is too short IMO, risking lace bite. I plan to put a bit of gauze under it for more comfort during long runs. I got my usual adidas size (1/2 size down from Nike, Saucony, New Balance) and had a full thumb width of length so I’d say TTS though narrow footed folks might find that a bit roomy.

Fun to runOverall great shoe, the foam is excellent. Some minor dislikes - thin shoelaces and tongue, but overall, the shoe is great. Not the most stable shoe ever but not an issue for me.

Possible Asics blast series alternativeI am loving the SL for 5k up to HM distances. The SL makes my feet roll forward and turn over quickly. Lots of cushion, but not squishy. My primary shoes have been Asics Superblast 2 for long runs, Asics Novablast 4 for medium distance everyday runs and Puma Nitro Deviate 2 for races. This SL could be a blast series killer. These Evo SL's are now my fav all around shoe for everything except a 5K race (Puma's).

The anti-adidas fitCan't say enough about the LSP foam, and a beautiful big hunk of it here is a very good thing. However, this deviates so so so much from a traditional adidas fit. The toe box is just so big and bulky, I can't sinch it down enough at all. Adidas has reliably been the narrowest brand that I'll wear (not always a good thing depending on the purpose of the shoe), but this is almost comically different. Happy to keep the shoe and use it for many miles, might even buy it again, but they just missed a home run by a few mm of width on that toe box.

TEN “STARS”Wow, what a great training or tempo shoe. Super comfortable, light and springy. Not much break in required and a pure joy to run in. Originally, I thought they’d be a recovery shoe, however upon running almost twenty miles in two separate occasions I find these adidas shoes extraordinary!

Overhyped, overratedOverhyped, overrated. I expected a lot more. Not impressed at all, and in my opinion the Mizuno Neo Zen is hands down the better option between the two.

light and quickReally fun, quick shoe. They look amazing. Out of the box, the shoe felt unstable on me due to the soft foam, and I was nervous they were too soft, however they felt great during a treadmill run. I wanted to go faster-than-usual, and my feet/legs felt awesome. I haven't run outside with them yet. They are very roomy in the toe box (and I have slightly wider toes). I love a ton of toe room, but these feel *almost* too roomy. The ankle collar seemed to rub the inside of my right ankle when I tried them on, but I didn't notice any rubbing during my run. A totally different shoe than the SLs (I have the first version- which are very stiff, and I do not love running in them). If you straddle two sizes like I do, I would go with the smaller option. So far so good.

This is my new go to daily trainerI’ve been running years in NB 1080’s and Nike Invisibles averaging 50+ miles a week. I’ve never been a fan of Adidas until now. This is a fantastic shoe. It feels light on the feet. It has great cushioning while still feeling responsive. It ran true to size and felt extremely comfortable throughout the run even when I picked up paces in the 6’s. Adidas really knocked one out on this one.

The Holy GrailAfter buying a bunch of shoes this year, I can confidently say that the Evo SL are my second favorite shoes right out of the box, next to my AP3s. The men's variant sold out but I went up a size in Woman's and it fits me perfectly, make sure to follow the Adidas size chart since every shoe company is different. I really wanted to like the SL2 but I just wasn't understanding why people were speaking so highly about it besides it being affordable...the Evo SL is on a different level and gives a smooth and bouncy ride. Can't wait to run more in these!

Nicely done - great bang for your buckGot mine yesterday, returned it today. Beautiful, simplistic design - relatively stable platform w/a durable, proven midsole. I saw differing specs regarding stack heights, and I was hoping it would be akin to the Mach 6 - it seemed much higher. While it felt very, very cushioned, I had no ground contact whatsoever - and for my decades on the road, that’s essential for my staying injury-free. If you’re accustomed to relatively plush shoes, this one is worth every penny of it’s very reasonable price.

The new standardAdidas knocked it out of the park with this one. Great shoe all around. Comfortable and easy on the eyes. Sporty yet casual. Soft but just firm enough on the stride.. i can see my self buying multiples of this model just because.
