Our Breakdown
Features
When it comes to style and functionality, the On Performance Bra is simple yet effective. The racerback or T-back style allows for free range of motion, and the adjustable straps are great for getting the ideal fit. The mesh areas are well-ventilated and provide a nice touch.
The built-in padding provides modesty, and is a great option for those who prefer not to trouble themselves with removable cups. That said, if you prefer to remove the padding from your sports bra, this feature may be a drawback for you.
I love the built-in padding. It was nice to not have to worry about removable cups that shift around or need adjusting. Plus, it makes laundry day a lot easier!
Another feature-related note is that this bra does not have a phone pocket—whether or not this affects the bra’s functionality really comes down to personal preference. If you prefer no-frills bra functionality, or if you simply prefer other storage methods while you run, the lack of pockets will not be an issue.
Fit
The fabric is comfortable, wicks sweat well, and holds the chest in place in a way that feels secure, especially with the adjustable shoulder straps. The fit of the band is more on the snug side, which contributes to a more secure fit, but made the pullover style a little difficult for some of us to put on without any hooks or closures. That said, if you prefer a secure fit, the amount of effort it takes to pull the bra over your head is worth the level of support that you get.
I am a 34C and typically a medium. I went with the size guide on this bra, which said small. I probably could have also fit in the medium, but after many runs in the small with no discomfort, there is no need for me to change sizing.
Once on, the bra feels secure. Those of us that are in between sizes ended up sizing down without any performance issues. It was snug enough to provide a high level of support, but not too snug to the point of being constrictive. We still felt like we could expand our lungs to comfortably take full breaths.
Quality
This is a nicely made bra that's built to last, with fabric that feels premium to the touch. Although the $75 price point can appear high for some, we feel that the price fairly reflects the high quality that you get—a supportive, comfortable bra that won’t need replacing for a long time. Even though it lacks extra frills like pockets, it's a reliable choice in our running wardrobe rotation, and does exactly what we need it to do without any discomfort. At the end of the day, that's what matters most.
It’s a high quality bra that should last for a long time. It’s not the cutest bra, but for those looking for high impact protection, this will get the job done.
Individual Thoughts

Linda
I’ve now done many runs in the On Performance Bra. As I described, there’s still a little bit of a battle to get it on, but for me it’s worth it. Once I had the straps adjusted perfectly, I haven’t needed to readjust. Short and long runs are bounce-free and chafe- free, which is what I want from a bra. I do recommend trying a size up if you are on the bubble. But once you are dialed in on size, this bra will provide the support needed for a comfortable run.

Becky
The On Performance Bra is a solid option for those looking for a well-structured bra with minimal bells and whistles. It feels like a higher-impact bra than I usually gravitate toward, as I have a smaller bust and don’t need as much support. It has performed well in hot conditions.
The changes I would make are based off of personal preference of having removable pads or no pads, and some sort of storage solution. That is where bras from rabbit and Brooks have provided a more ideal experience for my needs.

Lia
The On Performance Bra is really comfortable while still feeling secure. It allows me to expand my lungs for full breaths and run distraction-free. It takes a little bit of effort to pull over your head, but for me it’s not too much of a struggle. The materials feel premium, and there are no areas of chafing or irritation.
I love that this bra has sewn-in padding, as I don’t have to deal with removable cups shifting around while putting it on, and it makes laundry day that much easier. Overall, this is a comfortable, supportive, and very reliable bra that feels like it will last me for many runs to come.
