Product Highlights:
Mizuno's lightest and fastest race-day shoe just got upgraded. The Hyperwarp Pure 2 is all gas, no brakes, tuned to help you reach your fastest PRs for any distance from 5k to the marathon.
Underfoot, the midsole is reaching new heights in foam technology and in literal stack height. This shoe is packed with ENERZY XP+, a supercritical PEBA foam fine-tuned for energy return and aggressive responsiveness, all in a remarkably lightweight package. It maintains the light, airy underfoot feel of its predecessor, while developing a much fuller experience as you prepare to tackle 26.2 miles.
To be better suited for marathon distance, the Hyperwarp Pure 2 is gaining 4 mm of extra foam underfoot, meaning you get not only more cushion for the long haul, but more superfoam to blast you through your next race. To help maintain the same sub-5-ounce package with a higher stack height, there is an underfoot cutout to shave some weight without compromising performance.
Sandwiched between these layers of foam is a carbon Smooth Speed Plate to add some snap to your stride. This plate is slightly extended in the forefoot to maximize the energy and spring you experience each time you push off. To offer a bit of midfoot support, the plate has a wing that extends under your arch, helping you focus your energy forward.
Wrapping the shoe together is a hyperlight, translucent, and breathable upper. This race-ready package includes sawtooth racing laces, a very thin tongue, and a structured heel to prioritize a secure lockdown. Paired with a friendly touch of padding around the collar, this shoe finds the balance between pure performance and necessary hints of comfort.
The final piece of a pinnacle racing shoe is reliable traction. Underfoot, the G3 outsole offers a light and highly grippy experience. As you push through rainy races or fly through aid stations with water splashing on the ground, the Hyperwarp Pure 2 bites into the ground to keep you moving forward at top speeds.
When the big day arrives, and you're ready to chase those ever-elusive PRs, the Mizuno Hyperwarp Pure 2 is incredibly light, aggressive, and designed to lead you to your best performance!
