Product Details:

The Skechers GOrun Ride 11 is a reliable and versatile running shoe that provides excellent comfort for all types of training sessions. The secret to its exceptional cushioning lies in the updated foam that runs throughout the midsole. Skechers has incorporated HYPERBURST ICE foam, which creates a comfortable experience that's even softer than traditional HYPERBURST. Moreover, a carbon fiber plate is added to the forefoot, ensuring a responsive ride when you want to pick up the pace.

The outsole features Sticky GOODYEAR rubber, which delivers excellent traction on various road conditions, and thanks to a thicker outsole construction than its predecessor, the shoe is designed to last longer as well. The updated engineered mesh upper enhances breathability, while the padded tongue and heel collar provide a secure and comfortable fit. Priced affordably, the Skechers GOrun Ride 11 is an excellent choice for runners seeking a cushioned and durable running partner without breaking the bank.

A fine shoe…but what has happened here?In 2013 I did my first marathon, and trained 70 miles a week using the Skechers Go Run Ride. That shoe was cushioned, had a full wide fit, and weighed 7.5 ounces. Now the shoe is bulky and weighs over 10 ounces. I have to size half size up to have it fit…which is impossible as it doesn’t come in 12.5. Skechers has gone from being a game changer making unique shoes, to a brand making ho hum shoes that are lesser versions of their competition.

Way too narrow and pointy toeboxWas looking for a shoe to replace my Nike Invincible 1 and then 2s that have served me well for the last 2 years. The 3's were an instant fail with the terrible heel hold. Just opening the box, I knew the Skechers GOrun Ride 11 would be narrow, but thought maybe the upper would be stretchy enough to fit my borderline wide foot. Unfortunately that was not the case and these are simply old school torpedo shaped shoes. I really wish more manufacturers would pick up on more ergonomically shaped toe boxes like Altra and Topo. Unfortunately I find both of those shoes lacking in other ways, zero drop gives me major calf issues and Topo's are all too firm, they need some light modern foam like these. I ended up returning these and am only reviewing in hopes that Skechers reads this and either starts to offer wide sizes, or wide toe box shapes. I don't know anyone who's foot is shaped like a pointy elf's shoe. These companies need to stop making shoes that fit like that!

Sketchers ride 11My Ride 8’s were so comfy and Ride 11’s are just as cushy. Just finished a marathon in them.

So far so goodI’ve only got about 75 miles on them but so far they’re the best feeling running show I have ever owned. Time will tell how they hold up but I’ve never had a pair of Skechers that didn’t hold up well. My last pair which was a much cheaper running shoe lasted over 500 miles.

Wonderful running experienceI'd had a pair of Razor 3's a few years ago and was very impressed by the Hyberburst midsole. While I enjoyed the Razor 3, I wanted a something a little more substantial for daily miles (being over 50, using a shoe like the Razor for daily miles wasn't in the cards). After reading a number of positive reviews on these shoes I decided to give them a try. They're fantastic. The comfort and response in these shoes is just remarkable. They feel lighter than their stated weight and while I don't use them for speed sessions, picking up the pace in them is quite easy. I do have to warn those folks with wider feet. Unfortunately this shoe probably won't work for you. I have average feet and the toe box is comfortable, but pretty snug. The upper is more plush than it needs to be and it would probably be a better shoe with a tongue and heel collar that weren't so thick. Extending the laces on version 12 would be appreciated as I'm unable to double knot these. If you don't require a wider toe box (and can get over any potential hang ups with the Skechers brand) I would highly recommend this shoe.

Didn't like the carbon plateThis shoe should be one of the best trainers on paper. Everything about it is quality, but I had to send my pair back because the carbon plate wasn't like a Nike Vapor Fly, this shoe appears to have the plate under your arch area rather than in the forefoot. So it felt like it was counter acting my neutral/supination stride and caused immediate tightness in the calf muscles. If you were able to remove the plate, this shoe would be likely perfect.

Give it a few runsBefore buying this latest version, I read lots of reviews. Many mentioned too much arch support or something similar. The insert is designed to mold to your arch, and I think that is what it has done. At first run I thought "I don't think so", but after giving it a few runs I think it's a pretty good trainer. More support and stack height than I prefer, but I'm liking it the more runs in. I normally rotate 2-4 different shoes, so not all the same.

I have a better idea.I first bought the Skechers Persistence, then another pair and finally upgraded to the Ride. I am 145 lbs and the lesser shoe is perfect. The Ride may be a good choice for a heavier runner, but at 145 I see no great reason to upgrade.

Great shoe but....This is a great shoe but there are issues. The good: The midsole is soft and responsive. It's great at easy paces and faster efforts Very light as well The bad: The fit. Yes it's TTS but it's narrow and the toe tapers to early. The MaxRoad 5 was much more accommodating The upper is thick and warm. Fix the upper and the toe box please. I honestly didn't notice the arch support. The midsole could also be a tad firmer too but it's ok Also, UPS in Australia is terrible. I wish RW could use someone else

Almost Perfect Easy Day ShoeThis is my goto shoe for those days I just don't want to run, but it's also become my long run shoe. It's heavier than I usually prefer, but I don't really notice it. This shoe exudes smooth. It just rolls through the rocker in a cushioned and springy ride. The only real drawback it the upper is a little too plush. For hot days or rainy days it gets a bit hot and soaks up water/sweat. At $119 it's an amazing deal too.

Still an Old Friend I Go Back to....I have ran the shelves of most brands, carbon, cloud/mushy, minimal and the works. And I still find my way back to the lower-shelf Skechers with the GoRun flavor. I think they dropped this shoe for a bit and then it reappeared with V11. I know that shoes are as about personal-opinionated as one can get but for me this just checks all of the boxes without any extra flare/glitter. Those boxes are - *Roomy toe box, *rock/roll forward midsole, *softer landing (not that plastic "click" that you get get from some), * right length and quality lacing, * good treadwear, *price that does not make me wait till a new version comes out to get the older version at a discount. That's me, my opinion of a great all-around shoe that will might not get people talking - but I am okay as long as they are looking at the heel and sole as i stride past them and their carbon, mushy, glittery goodness.... :)

Sketchers nailed it!I have been a MaxRoad 5 running shoe fan for the last couple of years, and I run in many different shoes overall. I have done 5 Ironmans and I have run in a thousand road races. I would say these new Sketchers Ride 11 running shoes have nailed it for a training shoe. Super comfy, soft, light, but also springy with the carbon, miles feel breezy and fun. It is such an amazing shoe for a great price! Well done Sketchers! Shoe of the year so far!

The DO EVERYTHING SHoeThe Ride 11 update is amazing, it seems to combine a nice plush ride for easy or long runs. When you want to turn it up a notch, it has the spring to get you there. I am recommending this shoe for just about any situation. I planned to only use it for normal runs but wore then for some track work and they were zippy.

Love my SkechersI have always praised skechers as a brand. I use them for 12 hrs shifts, marathons, triathlons...etc. This shoe is just right. The cushioning is soft and responsive. I personally like the arch protection because I had plantar F. Surgery many yrs ago. You do notice the arch, but it's something you get use to over time. The only thing I could suggest for improvement is a wider platform. This will be my go to shoe for my upcoming races and training.

Believe the hype!Year after year I have seen this shoe get stellar reviews but failed to try them. I typically run trails, but do a few road runs every year with family. In recent years I have had the Hoka Bondi, Topo Ultrafly, and Saucony Triumph. The GoRun Ride 11 would be my choice over all of these. You can read the reviews about what makes the Hyperburst Ice midsole special. What I can tell you is it feels amazing underfoot. As someone who mostly runs trails, the roads always feel very hard to me. But this shoe delivers a buttery smooth ride. At a biscuit or two from weighing 200 pounds, the upper gives solid support. Some say the shoe runs a bit hot from the material used to give this support to the shoe. That is fine with me. I will leave the sock like uppers to runners that fight in the lower weight divisions. The outsole is made by Goodyear. You know, the people who make tires that have covered a gazillion miles across the globe. There is plenty of it, too. Some shoes I looked at appeared to have little outsole except for a few strategic placements that the shoe designers fussed over to save half an ounce. Dude, just put the rubber where it meets the road like they did with this shoe. One important note: This shoe has a specially designed arch support system. You can read the reviews about that, too. It felt odd when I took them out for a walk. I have some issues with one foot and ankle, and the next morning I had pain there. However, I read reviews that said not to give up on the shoe because it takes time for the arch support system to adapt to your foot. I was nervous about running in the shoe, but that advice was totally correct. By the third run the shoe felt like it was custom made for my foot. Really glad I did not return them. If you are concerned about what your running club buddies will say if your show up in a Skechers running shoe, then get over yourself. I tried on one of the most heralded daily trainers out now by one of titans of the running shoe industry. The GoRun Ride 11 beats that shoe No contest. Lastly, with shoe manufacturers creeping the prices up year after year for their so called ‘updates’, this shoe is a tremendous value. I feel like I should send an extra $20 or $30 to Skechers with a note saying, “ I am wracked with guilt over paying such a low price. Will sleep better at night if you accept this”. Forgot to mention your get a carbon plate at this price, too. I do not routinely write reviews and I do not work for Skechers. But this shoe deserves a bigger fan base. Give this shoe a try before you drop upwards of $200 on another shoe. You will not regret it.
